A red mangrove is growing in the red water under a blue sky, the water is red due to the tannic acid produced by the mangroves roots. The place is really difficult to reach and is in the "Laguna Negra", on the "Riviera Maya" of Mexico close to the border with Belize.
The Trevi Fountain in all his majesty. My goal, was to build an image a little different of the other ten million made by tourists and photographers; I've choosen the HDR technique to try to bring out the incredible details and the delicate sculpting work which is usually hidden by the shadows. The dramatic sky and the rainy weather allowed me to obtain a good background; then I've opted for a warm tone of the marble to contrast with the green water of the fountain, to subdivide the picture in three distinct entities, water, marble and sky. I hope the trick did the work. The most difficult part of the work, has been to shoot, freehand, five photos, on my knees, while an infinite crowd of tourists was pulling, pushing and tossing coins..
Today I've been on the Po river (Italy) to make some sunset shots. Sadly the sun was covered on the horizon by some clouds, but the river has colored himself with a gradient which was starting from the deep blue to arrive to the bright orange.. The final result gives me the impression of a water road with some big bends, it runs around the sand banks, then drives the eye to the sun.
A view with a dramatic sky of the big dome of Saint Peter (called by locals "Er Cupolone") in Vatican City, with some roofs of Rome.
The picture is taken from Villa Borghese terrace which grants a view on the whole city.
Rome, a reflection of the famous Castel Sant Angelo and Ponte Sant Angelo, on the calm water of the Tiber River at the golden hour close to sunset. My luck filled the sky with fantastic clouds providing a really dramatic background.
